The design and renovation of the cafe-restaurant was based on its location to create a place with a pleasant and warm atmosphere.
The radical change in the floor plan was made taking into account the limited financial budget of construction and the creation of a united space where the various functions are defined by the shape and the arrangement of the furniture.
Two distinct spaces were created where one is the food preparation-coffee space area and the second is the space where the table seats are developed. There were fragmented openings along the entire length of the store which were redesigned and enlarged to offer intense natural light and to create the feeling of outdoor space when you are inside. That is, the interior was integrated with the exterior, highlighting the view at the same time.
The program of the interior and its organization, its geometry and its materials, its furniture and objects, are those elements that are designed or selected in order to welcome life and to serve the daily functions in the best way.
Specific colors such as white and blue. Also, natural materials were chosen as architectural and decorative elements such as mat, rattan, reeds, and wooden beams. The above mentioned are harmoniously combined with the old-fashioned blue tiles and the wooden floor with the aim of creating an integrated space with a Mediterranean and local character.
The aim was to make the space look bigger, thus creating a corner complex for making coffee and food visible to the customer, without dividers. Functionally the kitchen was doubled. The whole space became exploitable and pleasant having a specific architectural identity that is consistent with the location giving the desired result and satisfying our goals.
