Project Stage: completed
The original concept and basis of chair design - entirely made of wood - was the "Standard Chair" chair designed by Jean Prouvé in 1934. With reference to the original and with respect to its design principles, the chair keeps - as far as constructionally feasible - the aerodynamic shape of the back legs, repeating it on the front legs. Pillows on the seat and on the back are provided for comfort. Redesigning the chair was a design test and tribute to the original where using the same "syntax" an attempt was made to create a different vocabulary.
